A hydraulic ram pump is a simple, motorless device for pumping water. It uses the energy of flowing water to lift water from a stream, pond or spring to an elevated storage tank or to a discharge point. Could be used for house water supply, farm or irrigation.
The hydraulic ram –pumps water with the energy of high velocity water which is suddenly blocked by a valve. This blocking causes an impulse which presses the water up in a second air chamber, presses the air, then it pumps the water through the delivery pipe.
